KITCHEN HYGIENE AND CLEANING SERVICES

At Crystal Surface our company mantra is “Our business is keeping you in business”. We provide an excellent first class service, keeping your kitchen area’s clean to comply with current legislation. We are a company dedicated to training. All our staff hold the relevant qualifications needed to carry out cleaning.

All of our work is carried out to current TR19 standards as many insurance companies now insist that grease extract systems are cleaned to TR/19 as part of the warranty within the policy.

Extraction Duct Cleaning

We not only clean the full extraction system, we also clean the interior of the canopy hood. Using our unique foam and brushing system, we are able to reach more than just “arm’s length”. Particular attention is paid to the area behind the grills “the plenum” as this is where grease build up materialises, being so close to the heat source, it is imperative it’s cleaned to the highest standard.
Filters are removed, soaked in our Safe Grease Duct Cleaner powerful cleaning solution, rinsed and replaced.

With our unique foam and brushing system, we are able to clean your duct work to an extremely high standard without having to install as many access panels. Where access panels are needed but not fitted to the ducting, out trained technicians will insert panels in the relevant places and will also install drain off valves for the foam to disperse if required.

Extract Duct Cleaning Certificate and Post clean report

You can be sure that your fans will be cleaned too. We will install access panels either side of the fan where required. This will ensure that not only the fan blades, motor and casing, but the fan silencer, extraction grille and extraction filter housing are cleaned.

After the clean has taken place a Post clean report is carried out. This will include before and after photographs of specific areas e.g Pre canopy, Post canopy, 1 metre from canopy etc. In areas that have raised concerns during the clean, these will be highlighted in the report. A measurement of grease will be detailed using micron meters >µm< and a wet film test tool

You will then be issued with a Certificate of Compliance which can be given to your insurance company

This can also be used if Environmental Health Inspectors or Fire Risk assessors turn up. It can be used as evidence to show you’ve taken action to minimise fire risks within your building.

Kitchen Canopy & Filter Cleaning Services

Having your kitchen canopies cleaned is essential in removing all carbon, grease and fatty deposits which can build up over time. Carrying out regular cleaning reduces the risk of fire, it also reduces wear and tear on equipment due to fatty build ups and improves the airflow and ventilation in your kitchen.

Our canopy cleaning service includes a full deep clean to the canopy and plenum chamber using our unique Tegas foaming solution. Our highly qualified and experienced technicians are able to carry out their work according to the BESA TR/19 Guide to Good Practice. Using a wet film test and evidencing the clean with Pre & Post photographs you can be confident that our kitchen canopy cleaners will thoroughly eliminate dirt and grease from your filters and extraction system.

Kitchen Canopy Cleaners

The different types of filters e.g mesh or baffle etc may require different cleaning process, which come as a standard part of our service at Crystal Surface. Filters are made of different materials and react differently to particular treatment methods, whether this be aluminium, stainless steel or other metals. Our on site operatives will be able to offer you as to whether you will need to repair or replace any damaged filters. This is detailed in our Post cleaning report

Once the work has been carried out and any areas that need attention have been highlighted to you, you will receive a Certificate of Compliance in line with TR19 standards.
